CLUARAN (Scottish Gaelic: Thistle)

Updated: Mar 30

Where does the name CLUARAN come from? To keep things short and sweet: I was aiming to simplify and specialize. I needed a one-word, easy to pronounce/spell, symbol of Scotland. Why Scottish Gaelic? It just rolls off the tongue, and sounds quite beautiful.

Originally I had thought, "Cridhe (Scottish Gaelic: Heart) sounds so lovely," but he thought of it being mis-pronounced as "creed" led me to search for a more friendly name. However, the phrase "Scottish Heart" (Scottish Gaelic: Cridhe na h'Alba) still rings in my soul and will likely become the CLUARAN tagline.
